Awesome cakes, souvenirs and even better cheesecake flavour ice cream, the cream puff was a bit too heavy.

Surprisly good and light cheesecake to go with the fragrant coffee. One of the popular pastry cafe in Otaru. Their cheese cookies are much better than those cookies from **恋人。

It's the end of the street. Recharge and reward yourself with their famous house cake and iced American coffee. Personally loved their service and the ambiance. They have an observation deck at the top you can see the sea but there's no seating there. If you're a smoker please strongly consider not seating outdoors 2F cause the crows might disturb you. 😂

We tried the selection menu where they gave us a choice of cakes and teas to have. The Double Fromage (the most famous cake) was my favourite although the Pomme came a close second as I have a fondness for apples in desserts such as pies/tarts. The cream they used was incredibly milky and rich. When paired with the iced fruit tea blend, it was a winning combination. I prefer not to add sugar to my teas and coffees and I think that was the right choice. In fact, I don't normally seek out cakes or desserts when I'm back home so I surprised my friends when I asked to order another one. Nice 'posh' european interior setting, it adds the additional charm to our visit. I would recommend this to any of my friends visiting Otaru.

Melts like snow when chewed. A plump “milky feeling” that spreads in an instant. And calm and elegant sweetness.Rare soft tasting cheesecake and hard baked cheesecake.

Nice view at the top of the building. Desert is nice to eat and see. Abit on the pricey side. The tea is great too

Strawberry shortcake is the first cake that springs to mind when I think of Japan. And LeTAO’s selection does not disappoint. The special set menu lets you choose three of their desserts and two drinks. Each person must order one item (be it cake or drink) minimum. Their shortcake and double fromage cheesecake are on another level. The cream in both is just so rich - as you’d expect from Hokkaido! It’s also situated in a beautiful building.

The air conditioning was spoilt today so they gave us paper fans, how thoughtful. The wait was not too long around 4 pm. The amazing cheesecake set and chocolate cake set were 1,404Â¥ each.

I love this brand. This flagship location has a fully stocked store selling cookies, chocolate and omiyage. On the mid-floor there is a cafe where you can try out their cheesecakes. I had the chance to eat at the cafe and it was a great experience. Prices are very reasonable as well, especially with the cake and drink combo. The top floor is an observation deck where you can see all of Otaru. An absolute must-visit.

Everything is absolutely delicious. The cheesecake is a must try. Also be sure to go to the viewpoint on the third floor.

Good experience. Cafe was good, cheesecake was to die for. It was nice to sit and relax especially as it was a very rainy/snowy day. The shopping downstairs was quick and easy. Duty free is available.

Soft serve was good. Most of the cakes n biscuits are sweet.

Great cheesecake. Not too cheesy. You can feel the delicacy. They have many other products too. They give samples and so try them and find what you like. Their cookies are nice too.

Located at the terminus of Sakaimachi Street, opposite the Steam Clock. LeTAO is very generous with the free samples. Staff stand outside the entrance enticing visitors with free chocolates. Inside one can also taste the various biscuits and tea. Upstairs is a tea salon with WiFi. Every hour the clock tower will chime melodically. The melon cheese cake is great.

The wait was very long but the cake was great.

The bell tower is a gem! Be sure to visit it by taking elevator to 3rd floor then walk up the stairs. You have the whole city view around you. Ringing the bell at the tower also brings luck!

Best cake I ever have so far

The best cheesecake in Hokkaido, they say. Definitely lives up to its name. Main store on ground floor while cafe is on upper floor, can get busy at times with waiting lines for cafe. Their cheesecake is a must try.

The renowned dessert shop on Otaru. We went to the second floor cafe for their cake set menu, which you can have one of their three famous cakes and a drink, including tea, coffee and juice. We ordered a cheese and a chocolate cake. Both were fantastic with tea. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing us English menu as requested.

Best cheesecake I’ve ever had. Great view from top of the tower.

Huge tourist spot, there's going to be a floor full of tourists from Eastern and Southeast Asia once you enter. Even with AC, there's a stuffiness on the first floor from everyone breathing and yelling over each other about which chocolate their aunt back home would be more impressed by.There's quite a few selections available, but don't be too concerned about anything labeled exclusives. I've seen Otaru "exclusive" goods in stores outside the city, so relax. That being said, they had a box of Otaru orange Ishida cookies that was perfect with tea, would recommend as a gift or souvenir to bring home.There's a cafe on the second floor where you can have tea and dessert. If you come in the afternoon, don't be surprised when menu items have run out. There's a waiting list, but it rarely seems to be full. Also, staff at this location seem to be able to speak and understand basic Chinese. The desserts are fairly small, so order two and enjoy the variety.

Always yummy, last order at 18:00, close at 18:30.

Their cake is wonderful, but expensive. You should order one item for each, even for child to sit and eat.

The shop itself is pretty much all inclusive. They provide samples and sell souvenirs on first floor. There is a cafe on second floor serving set menu including cakes and coffee/tea. I strongly recommend Double Fromage which is probably the best cheese cake I have ever tasted. Very creamy and not too sweet. And last but not least, the observatory on 3rd floor. Don't forget to ring the bell for good luck 😊
